Sense About Science

What's the evidence for banning electronic cigarettes?

'Sense about Science' is a charitable trust that equips people to make sense of scientific and medical claims in public discussion. They have a database of over 6,000 scientists, from Nobel prize winners to postdocs and PhD students, and work in partnership with scientific bodies, research publishers, policy makers, the public and the media, to change public discussions about science and evidence.

They have written to the BMA with several pertinent questions, challenging their stance on e-cigs.

"We sent this letter to the BMA on November 15th asking for the evidence behind their claims about ‘re-normalising smoking’ and ‘passive vaping.’  Despite a number of reminders, we have not yet received a response."
